Ok. Since then deleted in deference to what you have said. I do not want to be harsh on anybody. When provoked, I do react. I will try to restrict myself. sorry to sp.

Yes . I provide lot of links. The above link of Pt.Bhimsen Joshi-Nayaki Kanada is one among them as also the earlier ones. I heard his rendering. These were suburb Pieces. Immediately, my first impulse was to share them with others.
I always seek the pleasure of joy in sharing what I consider as good music.
I have nothing else to gain.
What I require from others is a line in appreciation of the rendering and about the artist, its flaws, if any
and the like to see whether it matches with the feeling which I get.
Unfortunately this is not forth coming.
Some time back Shri VS. Manjunath has commented:
“I'm sure like me 100s and more rasikas would have enjoyed u'r clippings done with such a lot of effort. It's a pity no one wants to acknowledge u openly. I don't know why this culture has set in. There is a Sanskrit saying........ i don't remember the first half; second half ends as ...................vachanEka daridratha?? Implying " Poverty should not be there in speaking good words " Pl.continue u'r good work, I know u r the last person expecting any compliments from respected members!”
I require no compliments from any one as suggested by him .It is the composer and the artist who are the persons to be complemented. But the simple thing is to acknowledge the melody and richness in the music provided to them
Not only this not forthcoming, but, people point out the silliest spelling mistake –I do not consider it one as such, as a noun indicating a capital word can be spellt differently –whether it is Barat or Bharat does not matter much as Khilasam and Kailasam.
One gets naturally worked up in such a situation.
I have found that people’s apathy and ego prevents them from acknowledging their enjoyment .
I am reconsidering whether it is worthwhile to provide links to share at this forum .

What an interesting voice quality! I am used to his baritone rendering but here BJ seems to use a voice that I would have guessed closer to Kumar Gandharva. The post does not say when this recording was made, whether BJ had this voice in his early years. If he had the ability to sing both ways, a baritone and a tenor to suit the occasion/piece that would make his gifted abilities even further beyond compare.venkatakailasam wrote: Babul Mora Naihar Chhooto Jaye - by Pt Bhimsen Joshi

It happens many a times , there are many who enjoy your links but may be bit lazy to acknowledge , per se ego or apathy is unlikely. Also when we read a thread and then we click on the link we lose the continuity of thread to come back and post. There is always a silent
So in short continue doing your great service. I have heard this kanada of Bhimsen and it is lovely, his voice is magical. BTW the vintageaudio54 poster is raju asokan of US who is still a member , he used to post a lot , he is the kArana karata for many recordings especially his favourite musician madurai somu.

Feelings of Great joy and Remorse
In the month of June,2007 I was at Pune. I desired to meet one of my idols of Indian Classical Music, Panditji and sought his appointment, through his son Shri Srinivas Joshi. S.J. told me that in view of the health problems, he is seldom meeting people but, he would check with Panditji and confirm. I was extremely happy to receive his consent for the meeting, having learnt that I am Son & disciple of Sandhyavandanam Srinivasa Rao. He recalled the meetings and discussions with SSRao and the deep respect he has for his sampradaya music and as a devout and eminent Madhwa. He blessed me and other members of my family. The meeting proved to be my last meeting with Panditji and gave me great joy, having heard and known him for well over 50 years. Panditji showed what respect and love he has for fellow musicians and rasika, like me!
But, the sight of Panditji, stricken with paralysis and other ailments and on wheel chair and taking efforts to communicate and give the prasadam to all of us, brought remorse feelings for troubling the Panditji, to satisfy my dream of seeking his blessings.
Panditji has shed his mortal body, but his immortal music and life, is Chiranjeevi.

His music will live forever.
But his departure surely will sadden the hearts of many many across the globe.
