VGV/PB - As far as I can tell, the song B. Kishore is looking for is a tyAgarAja svAmi kRti - one of the ones that nEdunUri Sri kRshNamUrti has unearthed from the treasures in the sarasvati mahAl library (I think) - there is a commercial album available with the mallADi brothers accompanying their guru singing these 'rare' compositions - this one is in sanskRt, if I remember right.

What you say may be correct. But, this kRti is not found in any of the Standard works - not even in the extra kRtis which Sri Lakshmanji referred to me.
I would not like to rush to accept it as 'tyAgarAja kRti' till it is accepted so by musically knowledgeable people based on standard yardsticks.
