Viruttam - kalaiyatha kalviyum - Abhirama Bhattar
The composition is very lovely, sung by a beautiful voice I heard for the first time - Dhanya. Please share lyrics.
Abhirama Bhattar has a beautiful write-up here.

PB, tried and this produces a gem from Sirkazhi Govindarajan - start lines are the same, then it differs. Very rousing! From film Thirumalai Thenkumari - DK who the actor is.

Re: Viruttam - kalaiyatha kalviyum - Abhirama Bhattar
I copied rshankar's post here for easy reference since it is part of another thread. The composition is stated to be from Abhirami Ambal Pathikam (according to P.R. Ramachander) by Abhirama Bhattar, not Appar (corrected in the older thread by Mahakavi). Abhirami Anthadi with the hundred verses is his most famous work.
Will re-listen to Sirkazhi Govindaraj's version to see if this matches.

The sixteen blessings or wealths the nAyanAr, SrI appar seeks from abhirAmi are:
1. knowledge/learning that is unscattered (kalaiyAda kalviyum) - concentrated/focused learning
2. Long life (kuRaiyAda vayadu)
3. guileless friendship (kapaTu varAda naTpum)
4. limitless excellence/greatness (kunRAda vaLamum)
5. eternal youth (kunRAda iLamaiyum)
6. body without sloth (kazhapiNi illAda uDalum)
7. tireless or steadfast mind/heart (SaLiyAda manamum)
8. loving wife (actually a wife who doesn't lose her love for you - anbu agalAda manaiviyum)
9. children that do not stray (tavarAda santAnamum)
10. unaltered fame (tAzhAda kIrtiyum)
11. unchanging speech (tavarAda vArttaiyum) - truthfulness
12. boundless and unhindered charity (taDiagaL illAda koDaiyum)
13. inexhaustible wealth (tolaiyAda nidhiyum)
14. unswerving goals (kONAda kOlum)
15. life without hardships (tunbam illAda vAzhvum)
16. unshakable love, faith and devotion to the pure and holy feet of abhirAmi (tuyya nin pAdattil anbum)
I guess for women, # 8 will be 'anbu agalAda kaNavanum

P. R. Ramachander's translation (celextel.org) :
Knowledge that you do not forget, age that does not diminish,
A friendship that does not diminish, A wealth that does not deteriorate,
A youth that does not diminish, a body that is free from all diseases,
A mind that does not get bored, a wife whose love never diminishes,
A progeny that is regular, a fame that never diminishes,
The promises that are never broken, the charity that never has a road block,
A treasure that is never is lost, a government which is always just,
And a life which never has any sorrow and love towards your very pure divine feet,
And if you also bless me with the company of your great devotees,
Oh sister who sleeps on a leaf floating in the sea, Oh life of ancient Kadavur,
Oh Goddess who does not move away from one side of Lord Shiva,
Oh Goddess who holds a parrot, Please grant me all these Abhirami.
