A small request to new entrants to C Music

Post by venkatakailasam »

IF YOU FOCUS ON RESULTS YOU WILL NEVER CHANGE.

IF YOU FOCUS ON CHANGE, THE RESULTS WILL FLOW !

DO YOU KNOW :

WHEN IT RAINS, MOST BIRDS HEAD FOR SHELTER.

EAGLE IS THE ONLY BIRD WHICH IN ORDER TO AVOID RAIN

START TO FLY ABOVE THE CLOUDS !!!

LET US TRY TO BE AN EAGLE!!!

A POSITIVE ATTITUDE LEADS TO POSITIVE THOUGHTS, EVENTS AND OUTCOME

The first two statements are confusing. If one works without focus on result, then one is aimless in ones pursuit. Change doesn't necessarily result in success. What change are you referring to in an aspirant in carnatic music ? Please explain. Your examples that follow are indeed good.

Shri.Sundara Rajan

You have brought out a valid question.

One’s focus has to be on the positive attitude and thinking of how to bring out the full potential within him instead of focusing and worrying about the results ( of achieving fame and also perhaps, the commercial aspects)

This change in focus on potential instead of on results can bring in the desired result. The change in focus is get to better results.

I have tried to be clearer.

It is a famous quote from Jack Dixon.

The later part was added by me.

I believe if you give enough of what others want, others will give enough of what you want
Instead looking for results, concentrate on learning and improving skills

Goal(s), Objective(S) and the Result(s) are the three vital parts. The goal is the driver. Objective gives clarity and plan for action. The Result, is the end or the culmination. The knowledge of Reality, is the Key. With realism, the equanimity comes. The enjoyment of the very process, happens, not obsessed with the result or bogged down by the enormity of the end result. The real challenge of the end result can be objectively and squarely faced and overcome the enormity thrown by the action or lack of action.
Positivism, is inherently optimistic. It can mislead to dissatisfaction or disappointment.
This applies to one and all, not only the new entrants to Classical Music.

Shri. munirao2001:

A lucid explanation. Yes, it applies to seniors also : But I thought as to who are we to tell them ?

With Carnatic Music Idol on, I thought the participants can be requested as to what can be their approach.

This can apply to the youngsters who may be participating in the Balabrahmam Program which may follow next.

Attitude does make a difference to the outcomes

Don't Quit Kick On

There were two frogs that had become bored with life in the River Torrens, so they decided to go on an adventure to a neighbouring dairy farm.
There they found a bucket of lovely cream, and decided it would be a wonderful experience to wallow in it. They hopped in. The first licked his lips with delight, and the two swam around with momentary joy. But cream is much thicker than water, and soon the frogs got tired. It was time to get out and return to the Torrens.
The first frog kicked and kicked and kicked, but the cream was thick, and he couldn't get out of the bucket. Soon he gave up, licked his lips, and drowned in the bucket of cream.
The second frog was far more determined. He kicked and kicked and kicked and kicked more and more. Eventually the cream turned to butter, and he jumped out of the bucket and returned to the River Torrens.
Attitude does make a difference to the outcomes of our lives. "Do not give up on life but, kick on and on ".
Don't Quit
