4. kadaikkan vaithennai - begada - misra chapu - papanasam sivan (R, S @ kadaikkan vaithennai & karunakara sivasundari)
5. innudaya barade - kalyana vasantham - purandara dasa (Sketch)
6. sevikka vendum aiyya - andolika - muthutandavar (S @ sevikka vendum)
7. nadachi nadachi - kharaharapriya - adi 2 kalai - thyagaraja (R, N & S at puDami suta sahAyuDai celangE and tani avarthanam)
8. jagadhodharana - ? - purandara dasa (didn't sound like kapi)

All keerthanas and manodharma items were well rendered. Alapanas had good vishranti and appropriate brigas wherever required. Swara prasatarams had some kanakku also, along with sarva laghu type. I haven't heard of Urmika ragam much, i could identify swaras, and arohana/avarohanam, bharat mentioned raga name afer alapana. Alapanas contained time and tested sangathis, and some improvisation also. At times, his voice was strained particularly in tara stayi. Interestingly all ragas selected had "R2" rishabam!! could have choosen better. Also, a vilamba kala keerthana pre main would have added more beauty. Bharat has good potential and future, and to watch out far.

For a concert commemorating tyagaraja and purandaradasa aradhanas, the artist surely could have sung more pieces of the two doyens.

Yes, kssr, he is the one that won the Jaya TV Carnatic Idol contest. If not for TMK's concert last evening, I'd have definitely attended this.

another notable thing is Shri Umayalapuram Sivaraman has played couple of times for him , the last time being @ KGS this season .. he made his academy debut last year n this year too , his concert was very well attended.. just heard he his Shri PSN and Shri leelavathy Gopalakrishnan 's disciple. yeah , has a tremendous voice n wonderful bhavam while singing.. got a great future for sure...
