ABOUT SHIRDI SAI CENTER
Shirdi Sai Parivaar (SSP) was started in 2001 when a handful of devotees inspired by Shirdi Sai
Baba's teachings decided to have group prayer every Thursday evening in His honor. The Thursday
evening bhajans have been happening uninterrupted since then. Initially, the gatherings happened
at the homes of devotees who played the host for Thursday evening bhajans. By early 2005, with
increasing gathering a bigger facility - Odd Fellows Hall, at Cupertino was rented for Thursday
evenings. On October 8th, 2006, SSP opened Shirdi Sai Center located at Kifer Rd, Sunnyvale. Shirdi
Sai Baba murthy, which was sculpted by Rajiv Talim (grandson of late Shri B. V. Talim who sculpted
the murthy at Shirdi temple, Shirdi, India), was installed at Sunnyvale location on March 7th, 2007
and Sthanaprathista was performed on May 6th, 2007.
The new Shirdi Sai Center (SSC) located at 1221 California Circle, Milpitas became operational from
June 2010. A grand Shirdi Sai Pranaprathista function was held from June 18th to Jun 20th, 2010.
