Heritage a not-for-profit trust has launched 'GUDIYA SAMBHRAMA' …the Bengaluru Temple Festival. The event will run in 21 heritage spaces a thousand years old to just a decade. Temples that are filled with history and culture! Where every stone has a story to tell!
200 artists of repute from across India will converge in these sacred spaces filled with the vibrations of sacred chants. They will bring to the people different genres of dance, music, puppetry and Harikatha. Innovative Rangoli art by artists and designers will adorn these sacred floors.

The Chokkanatha Perumal temple in Domlur is one of the oldest temples in Bangalore. It was built about 1000 years ago when the Cholas ruled the area, hence the name of the Perumal here. I remember well the monthly concerts held in its premises. Charulatha Mani singing there would have been magical. Would love to read a review of this concert from anyone who attended.
