Enjoyable and awsome three hour concert.. to me, purvikalyani alapana, devagandharam alapana, shankarabharanam thanam were highlights, and apart from usual punches and sparks in neraval, kannaku in swarams etc. R in RTP was rather short, but thanam compensated for it. It was surprising to see jayamanohari following kharaharapriya. Good support by accompanists.

The Bangalore Brothers have also rendered the same pallavi line in todi several years back. It is wonderful to listen to it...even more to accompany for it on the mridangam...i wish I could have heard it in shankarabharanam.

Really liked vid. Neela maami's music. Her rendition of raga alapana, swaras and esp. the rtp really made the concert enjoyable. It is amazing to see her repertoire...many of the songs that she sang, i had not heard for a long time. Infact, some of the songs, i am hearing for the first time. It was also nice to see a decent turnout at the kutcheri.

Ragaranjani - in fact, I remember seeing an old lady with her granddaughter - come in as early as 5 PM for Neela Mami's concert; she made sure it was Vid Neela Ramgopal and went back to sit

looks like mami has a special touch to poorikalyANi. her rendition of sATilEni guruguha mUrtininnE last yr at raga sudha still lingers in my mind.

KVN, for one, sang it a lot.

This pallavi had been sung by MSS in Sankarabharanam 4 kalai. I think I am having it.
