no wonder I didn't find it - so many program lists say anumanai and I searched it that way :( Thanks, Lakshmanji.

All the compositions in tamizh use the word 'anumAn or anumanai' as 'ha' is a Sanskrit letter.

Just as hari and haran in Sen tamizh would be ari and aran, and in this context go very well with ayan for brahmA to complete the trinity (ayan, ari, and aran).
