By five arms I meant the panca ayudhas of Sri Mahavishnu
I am not able to answer.
The name of the girl is not known but she is called "kubja" [dwarf]

The name of the hunch backed girl is "trivakra"
As a Guru dakshina, Krishna and Balaram brought back Sandeepa’s son who got drowned in Prabhasa Kshetra Samudra by praying Samudra Deva who stated that an Asura named Panchajana of the shape of a Shankha / conchshell kidnapped and killed the Guruputra; after killing Panchajana, he secured a powerful Shankha called Panchajanya from the bones of the demon by sounding which enemies retreat at once; asked Balarama to go fight with Yamaraja and finally brought back the dead boy back to life and gifted the dead son to the Guru!

Krishna's Education



After Kansa was killed, Nanda and Yashoda made arrangements for the education of Krishna and Balarama in the traditional manner, by sending them to a Gurukula. In those days, even princes had to go to the ashram of a Guru to study, and no distinction was made between the rich and the poor or high and low among students. Even though Krishna and Balarama had exhibited super-human powers in vanquishing Kansa and other demons, they had to learn the regular lessons in Brahma Vidya from sage Sandeepani, in his ashram in the forest. They had to go to the forest and gather firewood for the Guru's household. All the students had to share the work in the ashram among themselves equally without any distinction. At the end of the educational course, the students used to give 'Guru-dakshina' (offering to the preceptor). Krishna and Balarama asked their preceptor what he would like them to give. The teacher, who was well aware of the divine powers of Krishna, told him that since he was the incarnation of the Supreme, He could do anything, and so he would like to have his son, who had died some time earlier, restored to life, as his wife was very much attached to the son and was in great grief after his death. Krishna and Balarama brought back the Guru's son back to life. The Guru was immensely pleased and expressed his gratitude to Krishna and Balarama."

Wonderful interpretation of the line 'kAluDu goni pOyina ...'. Thanks for the elaboration. Here is the word-to-word-meaning of that line:

kAluDu = lord yama, the destroyer
goni pOyina = taken away (by)
guru puttruni = the son of his teacher
tecchi icchinAvu = you brought back

"you brought back the son of your teacher, who was taken away by Yama, the destroyer"

This is a beautiful composition and reminds two other great krithis with a similar beat and pace - Thyagaraja's 'ranganAdhudE' (sourASTra) and Mysore Vasaudevacharya's 'SrI mahA gaNapatim bhajEham' (AThaNA)

If you were able to catch Cleveland Aradhana 2011, you may recall that Alamelu Mani maami sang this composition on Thursday. She used a slower tempo compared to TP Vaidyanathan and Palghat Rama Bhagavatar. Personally I like the faster tempo for this particular song though.

I have a hunch that Sri Sadasiva Rao may have originally composed this for inclusion in hari katha. Any thoughts?
