This is a very beautiful viruttam referring to the six-faced aru-mugam shanmukha

From what I can follow - if one face tires one of the others will beam compassion, if one ear gets hard of hearing there is another out of the twelve to take up the job of listening....

I hope someone finds time to do justice to this beauty thru a full-fledged translation.

oru mukham shalittAl maruvu Sanmukhattil oru mukham iranguvadillaiyO - If one (oru) face (mukham) of yours expresses disgust (SalittAl) (at my conduct), don't you have another (oru) face (mukham) out of the conjoined (maruvu) six (shaN/shaD) faces (mukhattil) (you possess) to take pity (irangAdO) on me?
oru shevi maRuttAl panniRu shevikkuL oru shevi kETpadillaiyO - If one (oru) of your ears (Sevi) refuses (maRuttAl) (to hear my cries), don't (illaiyO) you have another ear (Sevi) out of your twelve (panniru) ears (SevikkuL) to hear/listen (kETpadu) (to me)?
