S-P here you go: I must say that I prefer the P.Sivan masterpiece comparing ari and aran to be vastly superior (both from a musical as well as a poetry pov) to this, which is not bad at all, IMO:

The blessings (aruL) showered (tarum) on us by the six-face (shaNmukha) murugan (kandanum) and the attractive (mOhana) kRshNa (kaNNanum) in an united fashion (oru mukhamAi) are identical (onRE) indeed!
shivanAr kaNpuriyil vanduditta sharavaNan sikkalil singAra vElanAm Arumukhan
SaravaNan, the six-faced one (Arumukhan), who took form (vandu uditta) from the embers/flames (puriyil) of Siva's (SivanAr) (third) eye (kaN), is the attractive/beautiful (SingAra) spear wielder (vElanAm) in the town of sikkil (sikkalil).
sirai tanil avataritta shrI krSNan cinnikrSNanAi tOnrum guruvAyUr appan
kRshNa (SrI kRshNan) who was born (avataritta) in a prison-cell (Sirai) appears (tOnrum) as a young/little (cinni) kRshnan (kRshNanAi) in guruvAyUr.
vElinai EndiDum vaNNa mayil vAhanan vaLLi dEivAnaiyai maNanda vEl murugan
Muruga, who wields (EndiDum) a spear (vElinai), and rides (vAhanan) a colorful/beautiful (vaNNa) peacock (mayil), is the one who married/wed (maNanda) vaLLi and dEvasEnA (deivayAnai) [1].
sUra samhAram seida shakti vaDivElan praNavam eDutturaitta svAminAthan
The handsome (vaDi) and powerful (Sakti) spear wielder (vElan) who killed (samhAram Seida) the demon sUrapadman (sUranai) is also the master/teacher (nAthan) of Siva (svAmi) who expounded (eDuttu uraitta) the essence of praNava.
vEnkuzhal UdiDum vENugOpAlan pAnguDanE bhAmai rukmiNiyai maNanda mAyavan
vEnugOpAla, who plays (UdiDum) a flute (kuzhal) made of bamboo (vEy) is the supreme illusionist (mAyavan) who wed (maNanda) rukmiNi and satyabhAmA (bhAmai) in great style (pAnguDanE)
kamsanai vadam seida kArmEgha vaNNan gItOpadEsham seida sArangan
The dark-hued one (kArmEgha vaNNan) [2] who killed (vadam Seida) kamsa (kamsanai) is the wielder of the bow named SArnga (sArangan) [3] who expounded (upadESam Seida) the bhagavad-gIta.
sharavaNan ninra malai adu pazhamudir sOlai arangan uraiyum ezhil vanamadu mAlirum sOlai
The mount (malai adu) on which muruga (SaravaNan) stayed (ninra) is pazhamudir Solai [4], while the beautiful/scenic (ezhil) forest (vanam adu) where vishNu (arangan) [5] reclines (uraiyum) is mAlirum Solai [5].
aruNagiruikku aruLi tiruppugazhai pADa vaitta guhan AzhvAr divyaprabandhamadil ezundaruLiya nambi
Muruga (guhan) is the one who blessed (aruLi) aruNagiri nAthar, and made (vaitta) him sing/create (pADa) the tiruppugazh, while vishNu (nambi) is the one who appeared (ezhundu) and blessed (aruLiya) (his devotees) through the divyaprabhandham created by the AzhvArs.
SaDAkSaram koNDavan sharavaNa guhanAm aSTAkSaram koNDavan Om namO nArAyaNaAm
Murugan is the one who exists in/is created in/taken up by (koNDavan) six (shaT) letters (aksharam) [6], while nArAyaNa exists in eight (ashTa) letters (aksharam)
kunrADiya guruparA venkaTa malaiyin ezhil uruvE pazhani ninra pazhamE gOkula bAlA gOpAlA
Oh preceptor (guru) to the great Siva (para) who has danced (Adiya) atop mountains (kunru)! Oh beautiful (ezhil) form (uruvE) of tirupati (veMkaTamalayin)! Oh fruit (pazhamE) [7] who stood (ninra) atop the pazhani hill! Oh cowherd (gOpAlA), child (bAlA) of gOkul!

[1] I believe dEvasEna is also called dEvayAnai or dEvakunjari, because, growing up in indra's court, she spent a large part of her day with the elephant, airAvat
[2] kArmEgha vaNNan – one with a complexion (vaNNan) of the dark/black (kAr) cloud (mEgha)
[3] We've discussed this elsewhere as well – vishNu's bow (one of the pancAyudha) is called SArnga, and therefore, he is called SArngpANi or SArngadhanva.; however, SArngpANi became corrupted to sArangapANi especially in tamizh; sAranga is a deer, so, the true sAranpANi should be Siva – mAn mazhu EndiDum ponnArmEniyan, and not Sangu cakkram EndiDum kArmEgha vaNNan….
[4] pazham udir SOlai – a garden/grove (SOlai) where ripe fruits (pazham) drop (udir) from the trees; it is a temple for muruga and deivayAnai; since chronologically, muruga married dEvakunjari first (in tiruccendUr), there are temples for just muruga and dEvakunjari – but all temples where vaLLi is enshrined, have to have both dEva kunjari and vaLLi
[5] arangan I think is the tamizh equivalent of 'rangapuravihArA' resident of SrIrangam
[6] mAlirum SOlai – literally measn the grove (SOlai) where vishNu (mAl) resides (irum)
[7] The six letters/syllables are Sa ra va Na bha vA
[8] The eight are Om na mO nA rA ya NA ya
[9] Beautiful imagery – the story of the fruit – nArada brings a mango to kailAs and both gaNESa and muruga covet it. Siva tells them that he will give the fruit to the one who goes around the world and returns first – muruga sets off on his peacock to fly aound the world confident that her would beat gaNESa on his small bandicoot by years – the clever gaNEsa goes around Siva and pArvati and stakes his claim for the fruit as he considers them to be his world; just as Siva is giving the fruit to gaNESa, muruga swoops down on his peacock, and, in a fit of childish anger, goes away to a hill where he vows ro stay as a mendicant (ANDi) – wearing just a loin cloth and holding a stick; pArvati tries to pacify him by saying that for his devotees he/muruga is the ultimate fruit (pazham) – so, from 'nItAn pazham' came 'pazham nI/pazhani', the name of the hill (muruga was finally pacified when pArvati gave him her all-powerful spear/vEl)

What I call painful labor (of love!) - the footnotes are longer and more elaborate than the translation itself - do save more than one back up. Just had a quick read, will savor it slowly.

Doesn't Malirum-solai refer to Azhagar Koil, which is anothername for Pazhamudir solai? The place boasts of being a Divya Kshetra(of Vishnu) AND a paDai-veeDu(of Mururga). Which probably inspired the song?

You are right Rajani - IIRC, azhagar kovil is down at the foothills, while the murugan temple is on the hill.
