Carnatica brothers Sri.K.N.Shashikiran and Sri.P.Ganesh were ably supported by Sri.K.S Vinay on the violin and Sri.Murugabhoopathi on the mridangam.The venue being the temple of Sri Sringeri Sharada ambaal,the theme was "Shakthi Mahima".As Shashikiran said that they were going to offer prayers to the Goddess,their concert throughout was truly meditative and contemplative.They were fully supported by the accompanying artists and their thani was short and sweet.It was a 2 and a half hour morning concert.It was interesting to note that the pallavi was an extempore proving that the special pallavi award they recieved last week @ the Cleveland Aradhana was very well deserved.They sang a rare piece in the raga Andhali.The Ahir bhairav piece, I heard ,was composed by the brothers and tuned by Shashikiran.Their alapanas were captivating.Like the organizer said,this concert was an entertainment as well as an enlightenment.

Sounds like a great song list. BrihanNayike in Andhali would be good to hear somewhere. And ofcourse Nannu Brovu Lalitha is so majestic . Amazing how MD in Hiranmayim and SS handle Lalitha so differently.
