CM icons resembling icons in other fields

Post by ganeshkant »

During a recent concert of Malladi Bros.@ Kasiviswanathar Kovil,T.Nagar I was sitting pretty close to the stage.
I found violinist S.Varadarajan having striking resemblance to cricketer Saurav Ganguly.

So,when I thought on the subject line I have this finding.Hope you may agree.

Alleppey Venkatesan - Arun Jaitley (BJP leader)
ThiruvArUr Vaidhyanathan - Rajan P Dev ( malayalam actor;acted in Tamil also.Remeber ? THe villain in Gentleman)
TMK - Manoj Bajpai ( his present get up will suit the actor's in the hindi film Satya)
Thrissur Ramachandran in his younger days ,I heard used to resemble Sivaji Ganesan.
Bombay Jeyashree - Ashvini (the heroine of udhiripookkal & oru kai Osai)

I recall a discussion on Sri Trichy Sankaran's resemblance to former American President George Bush.

CM Icons Resembling Icons in Other Fields is a better title for the thread, don't you think? Why? Because they're icons in their own fiield!
Resemblance does not stop with facial features. Expressions come into it in a large measure, I think.

VK,
Our posts crossed.
Yes, a close rsemblance.
And I thought, it was us, the womenfolk who were into this resemblance thing ;)

VK,
For the way you have posted this (with multiple showing of the two celebrities) with the posts, you should ask for a free lesson in layA from UKS and free videos of the program from the actor!

Yes.I too have felt it.

Some one told me during a Pantula Rama concert that she resembles BhanupriyA.

BhanupriyA's eyes are her attraction.Oh man....I will die for those eyes.

Mohan,
Yes, but 'Mr. Bean' Atkinson cannot hold a candle to TMK's handsome face! I can see him now, scurrying everywhere--opening draws, trying to bend the Big Ben to find that candle. Adorable he is, very entertaining, resemblance to the vidvAn, yes, but TMK rules, in azhagu (looks) and wardrobe!

Understood!
Yes, Atkinson is adorable in his own way--next only to Chaplain in evoking pathos?

I had a glimpse of Isai Mazhalai Ramji (?) in on of the Idol segments. Haven't seen him for some years. Now he resembles President Clinton, I think!

Image- Rob Schneider from 50 First Dates (Good movie btw!)

Image- Sri J.Vaidyanathan!

With apologies to the Mridangam Vidwan's fans- this was the only scruffy image of the former I could find that has an uncanny resemblance to our J.V!

Cheerful,
You have to see painter Van Dyke's last self portrait! As I've mentioned it before somewhere, the resemblance in that particular self-portrait is striking!
