Will be good to see these sort of events during the December season as well ...
Any chance of this event being video recorded or web-streamed?

Am I not justified in feeling elated to learn that two up and coming vocalists .from musical families of Southern California, one with a Mridangist and a flautist as elder brothers and the other, with a violonist as a younger sister, will be showcasing their talents?May Sri Rama bless the young musicians

This is a wonderful series! And very aptly dedicated to Late Ranganathan Sir. Are there any plans to webcast these or have these recordings as audio/video available for viewing or even sale in the future? Would be a treasure for rasikas and students alike!

Does kriti pallavi mean taking a neraval line of a pallavi/anupallavi/charanam line of a krithi and singing that without altering the krithi words. That theme appears an odd one out.nivedita wrote: 6.00 pm: V. Shankaranarayanan

Re: Carnatica presents Pallavi Darbar--August 4th to 6th
Rajesh,
I had sent a mail asking V.Shankar Narayanan the same thing.
He told me that he will be singing 3 pallavis taking the pallavi line
from 3 krithis.(as u said may be pallavi line of a krithi, charanam line or anu pallavi line) This will be like a concert - a beginning with a short raga, tanam and pallavi,
main piece with detailed raga, tanam and pallavi and tukkada pallavi may be with ragamaliga swaras.. All three are nadai pallavis.
For the sake of keeping the interest, he is not divulging the krithis,
ragams and the nadais. But from what I could gather from his email to
me, it should be interesting.
looking forward to your reviews in rasikas.
