nOyi orupakkam tuyal orupakkam - Virutham on Lord Muruga
I wish to get the correct lyrics of a Virutham on Lord Muruga sung by sri, Pazhani Venkatesh in his album "Thirupukazh"
The lyrics, as I could hear from the audio recording, is given below. I wish some one who knows this virutham may please correct errors and post the actual lyrics. Thanks in advance.
The virutham is sung in the rag "sekharachandrika", which is the panchama varjya raga of the Mela raga " Subhapanthuvarali " and the equivalant raga of Sekharachandrika in Hindusthani is raag" Gurjari Thodi".
This virutham is followed by the Thirupukazh song " IravAmal piravAmal enaiyAl sarguruvaagi" praising the Lord at Avinaashi near Tiruppur.
The Lyrics for correction:
nOyi orupakkam tuyal orupakkam adaikkanamE
nuzhainda kali pEyi orupakkam alaikkalamdEn
enai pEzhu kandai, nEya valliyAyi orupakkam mannum
pazhanapuri andavane
nee orupakkam veruthaal en seivatu
neeye kaliyugathil nischaya daivam
stutippor taye ena vandanai andRor

Hariharan,
Sorry for the ultra-tardy response. Thank you for posting these poignant verses. Here is what I hear, and my attempt at the meaning:
nOy orupakkam tuyar orupakkam
nuzhainda kali pEi orupakkam alaikka nondEn
enai pENu kaNDAi

Oh lord (ANDavanE) of pazhani (pazhnApuri), adorned (maNNum) on one side by the loving (nEya) vaLLi (vaLLiyAL), you behold (kaNDAi) me (enai) tenderly (pENu), even as I suffer/have suffered (nondEn), being agitated (alaikka) by disease (nOy) on one (oru) side (pakkam), sorrow (tuyar) on another, and the devil (pEi) of haughty conceit (kali) on yet another. You alone (nIyE) are the certain/definitive/assured (niccaya) god (deivam) in this kaliyuga. Now, if perchance (orupakkam), you (nI) end up loathing me (veRuttAl), what (en) more can I do (Seivadu)? Did you not (anRO) come (vandanai), like a mother (tAyE) to your devotees (tudippOr)? If you do not make (seyyAyenil) my disease (nOyE) go away (aga), is there anyone (Ar) else (maTRu) more gracious (aruLinar) that you are (unnilum), my (en) lord (ayyA) who resides (mEviya) in the southern (ten) city of pazhani?

IMHO This line would be better interpreted as :
enai pENu kaNDAi - Please note(see) that you must nourish/patronise me!
