Sri.Abhishek Raghuram is the grandson of none other than the Legend on the
mridangam--Palghat Sri.Raghu.Sri.Abhishek's genius was evident as a child
and was nurtured with great care.Prodigious talent combined with meticulous
training has given us all a musician,who is here to carry the legacy of the
legend and enthrall rasikas with the vast ocean of music that lies within
him and so efforlessly flows during the concert.
Gifted with a powerful voice, a fantastic range, immense manodharma and
complete control on the layam aspect,Sri.Abhishek is able to create an
everlasting impact on the audience. Sri.Raghavendra Rao effectively brought
out the essence of each raga on his violin and accompanied with
grace.Sri.Skandasubramaniam energised the concert by playing on his
mridangam.Though he was accompanying Sri.Abhishek for the first time, he
played with a lot of sensitivity and class.Sri Dayananda Mohite on the
ghatam gave good support.

Sgbsblr: I take it that the accompanists got switched due to the rescheduling. Were these the originally listed accompanists for Saketharaman?
Nice to see that he took up the Vasudevachar composition in Natakapriya. We often hear mArajananim by NCK these days, but I haven't heard this lovely piece since Nedunuri-garu.
