Following Ritigoula varnam, Jaya Jaya gave a fine start to the concert. Ganesh presented a good raga alapana of Begada after which came
an array of swara exchanges for the Begada krithi between Shashikiran, Ganesh and VVS Murari. Ganesh, next, began to singthe raga alapana for Jayantasena and the brothers wrapped up the kriti with kalpana swarams.
Shashikiran presented a brief, yet pleasing outline of Hamir Kalyani ragam and it was a treat listening to the duo sing the Tyagaraja Krithi. The impeccable allignment to Shruti, one of the key features of Carnatica Brothers' rendition makes them sing songs like Paarvathi Ninnu with absolute precision(with no insecurity to land on notes).
Shashikiran sang a superb Saramati raga alapana followed by the popular Mokshamu Galada....After few rounds of Kalpana swarams, Manoj Siva and KVG presented a brisk thani avardanam.
Post main item, the brothers sang a melodious Gangadeeshwaram in Sindubairavi and concluded the concert with a beautiful composition of their brother, Ravikiran, a thillana in Hamsanadam.
Narasimhan of Asthika Samajam was so happy for Shashikiran and Ganesh and praised them and their team for having given a great concert that was received very well !
