N.L.Gaana Saraswati

Hi all,

I recently heard that there was a female classical singer , Smt. N.L.Gaana Saraswati,who has sung many Ambujam Krishna's amma's songs. I would like to know more about her in detail. Also any rendition of her.

She was active in the concert scene in 60s and 70s and the Radio Ceylon of that era used to broadcast her EP recordings. I distinctly remember her soulful and melodoius rendering of the virutham Oru mugam salithal. There were many other songs also rendered by her. I have got a few of them. If I am able to lay my hands on them, I will upload. She had a very pleasant voice, high pitched with abundant jnanam and sruti sudham. Her nephew was my friend in Trivandrum and I have seen and talked with her many times in their house.
