Here navam means new.Eka bodhakam is one mindedness.So it may mean " be devoted single pointedly without acquiring any thing new(be a foe to any new acquirement).This happens with humans ; the moment you see some thing new you forget the old one.

what does drOhi stand for in that line?

*I am equally interested in the Raga lakshana .That is the reason for my pasting.How somu handles swara just like any other known raga!

Satyabalu,

I listened with fervour and it sounds like Hamsavinodhini to me.It is a P varjya rAga and to me it seems to be a janyam of SankarAbharanam.I don't know whether it is a other name for 'Hamsavinodhini'.
