He was with AIR Trichy for a long time. AIR Trichy used to broadcast his concerts frequently.

Why, even AIR Chennai used to do it. But I have very little info about this artist. What is Angamali? A place or the name of a house or a family?

I remember Coolkarni saying Angamali is a place in Kerala. He once interviewd a candidate from Angamal for a job. Apparently he had no clue about Jose and asked if he was a cricketer or something.(BTW he got the job ;) ) Right Coolkarni?

Angamali Jose ( Dilrubha) and Anayampatti Ganesan ( Jalatarangam) were two artistes who had the courage to take up playing CM on non- conventional instruments and also reached a high level of proficiency. I feel they have not got the recogonition that they deserve.

As an aside, Angamali's current claim to fame is a great eye hospital where sugeons perform very sophisticated surgeries and vison-restorative procedures!

One of the comments under this video clip mentions a Charukesi rendition by Shri Jose.
Would anyone have the Charukesi (or any other!) recording that they could upload.

What a vidwan!
