INFORMAL MEETING WITH OUR ADMIN ON 19.11.11

Dear Rasikas,

As already mentioned in the other thread, there will be an informal meet with our Admin srkris on 19.11.2011 [Saturday] evening at 06.00 PM at my home.

I request the Rasikas in Chennai in large NOS to attend the meet.

The Rasikas who are likely to attend the meet can indicate their attendance in the thread.

Any important decisions to be considered by the Admin [and Mods] may be indicated in the thread.

We can have dinner at the Saravanabhavan hotel near Ashok pillar area after the meet.

Directions to reach my home from Panagal Park area will be;

Panagal Park, Doraisamy Subway, Thambaia Road, 3rd right is Srinivasa Pillai Street. Land mark will be the Sathyanarayana Temple.

Another land mark will be near Ayodhya Mandapam.

Thank you for uploading the photographs.

We had a couple of hours of good company and good conversation --- and good food, courtesy of Mrs Nageswaran

We talked some serious things, about the forum and the world of carnatic music, but, above all, it was good to meet. Skris and Pavithra took the trouble to travel in from the outer suburbs. I was disappointed that only a couple of us the trouble to do so, even from much closer. Probably we should have 'bumped' this thread for a few days beforehand.

Many thanks Nageswaran for the effort of hosting this meet. We were with you in spirits corporeally represented by our Nick.
Wishing Chi: Ramakrishnan and Sow: Pavithra many more years of wedded bliss and service to our CM community for which we are eternally grateful.

Thanks to Sri Nageswaran for hosting us, and of course, the food was pretty good. Nick found what we ate was the Upma he had heard about.

Thanks also to CRama, I am going to read more of the stuff he has written about that I have obviously missed to read here.

C.Rama was there too, which was nice.
As CML says, some of us were there in spirit--though we missed the uppuma and a beverage and the hospitality offered by the Nageswaran family.

Nick would have been happy, having the time and opportunity for a conversation.

It was a nice meet with Srkris and his wife along with Mr. Nageswaran, his family and Nick. I was meeting our Admn for the first time. We talked for about two hours, discussed with some issues about the forum like how to track anonymous posts, multiple ids,, state of music in sabhas, state of music of nagaswaram , veena etc. We discussed about the upcoming Rasikas Meet, and were treated to a treat by Mrs. Nageswaran. It would have been better if some more Chennai rasikas have participated. This was a prelude to the Greater Meet in Dec.

Thank you Sri Nageswaran for the pictures. Glad to see Srkris , Pavithra, Nick , CRama, Smt & Sri Nageswaran and Srinidhi It's a pity that many others (including myself) couldn't make it.

Thanks for the photos and Sorry I was not able to make it inspite of Sri Nageswaran's telephonic invitation to me. I had some guests at home and I was not able to avoid that. I would have loved to meet srkris, considering that he is the recipient of "Rasikapriya 2011" award.

Can srkris or Sri Nageswaran indicate how long srkris will be in town so that I can schedule alternate date and time ?
