Its been a long time since I've heard her. Her music has grown immensely in that time. KS @ Jayathi Jayathi in the dhrutham was clever. Dr Narmada was no slouch either and it started the concert off with a bang. The 10 min+ alapana in Begada was spectacular. Neraval at the wordy 'Sri Kanchi Sadana' was adept. The 2 ladies vied for attention through out the Begada. Sowmya set herself a brisk pace for Nagumomu and carried off all the brisk sangatis with aplomb  Hasthivadanaya - Dikshitar kriti I have never heard and it was pure gold. The RTP ragam, thanam and pallavi all done to standard, noteworthy being swarabedam in KS which she also brought into her kuraippu in the end.

I did attend Sanjay's 'Viswa Roopam' concert @ MMU as it has been dubbed. The Ragamalika he sang and the MD kriti sung by Sowmya have certainly set the bar very high for the Season. 2 rare kritis in 3 days makes it all worth the trip to India for this Season! Plus if I may be pardoned for saying, it was great to see 2 ladies holding centre stage   I can't leave without mentioning the amazing percussion for the evening. Both Subramaniam and Guruprasad outdid each other at every step and added to the concert being an exceptional one.
