I was visiting family in the area and wandered into this concert without my kutcheri appendages. Also had to leave after the thani. So this is an incomplete review entirely from memory.
This is the first time I have heard her (I was meaning to hear her this Season anyway) Along with the breeze blowing in this lovely open hall, her voice was like a gentle breeze which yet carried to the last chair all the nuances to be had. When she sang a near 10 min alapana in Dwijavanthi with many sprightly phrases, I was admiring her efforts. She made Chetasri her own. I haven't heard it sung so well in a very long time. Brisk alapana in Varamu with the catchy song was perfectly sandwiched for the next Kalyani. She sang a great alapana for Kalyani which made me go back and revise the Dwijawanthi ragam as probably a bit laboured for someone who can sing with her verve. Still kudos to her for doing it! Pankajalochana and neraval at Brindavanantha were all beautiful as was the swarams. I hated to have to leave and hope I can hear her again soon. Also hope someone witll complete the list and review here.
