English Notes - Sankarabharanam - Adi - Harikesanallur Muthiah Bhagavathar. Was sung in a medium tempo instead of the usual fast one and it had its own charm. This could make a good opener for a concert, I reckon.
Thiruvaazha - Ragamalika - Adi - Azhagiya Manavala Dasar (seems to be a rasika request, he started Sri Venkata and then switched to this before singing Sri Venkata Gireesam)

Standard Vijay Siva fare for 2 hours. 4 not often heard songs (#2, #3, #5, #6). All the alapana's were very good. RKSK & Manoj were perfect foil for him.

Yes - in Sri AK's rAma nATakam, this composition describes sItA's entry into the marriage hall in all her bridal finery, accompanied by 'ponnin oli, pU maNam'.....We discussed this composition (with the caraNam that is frequenlty sung) earlier - you will find the discussion here.

I don't know what connection this trust has got with T M Krishna, the latter presided over the function and introduced the artist. Sangeetha sivakumar was there throughout the session and enjoyed the concert. Actually TMK, in these 5 days, has not agreed for any concerts.

This trust has got 5 days function, first being Vijay siva, Yesterday UdayAlur kalyAnaraman, sampradhaya bhajans, today Subbu Arumugam, villuppattu on Srinivasa kalyAnam, tomorrow Gayathri Venkatraman and last day, Aravamutha chAryar discourse.

I was not happy VS kApi Alapana. He surprisingly slipped in few places and corrected it again by repeating it. RSK's return was better than VS" There is no need
for surutti. He rushed it so that the sowkhyam of "alamelu mangA samedham" was missing. ShankrAbaranam was not exposed in detail. But his 7 min Alapana
was nice.

Over all a OK concert for me.

I also attend UdayAlur's bhajans yesterday. It was as usual, exellant. TMK was there in full session. Bhajans is a different play ground. Normally, this is not discussed in this forum. So, I don't want to discuss in detail.

I dont know what connection your post has got with concert which has a a connection with the trust which has a connection with TMK, Either .
Next time around , just walk up to him and ask him , if you feel like . For all I know he is a nice and cool guy and will answer you poiltely .
