It's great news flowing on UKS sir's birthday today - 17th December. He has been awarded the prestigious Sangeeta Nataka Akademi Fellow along with Shri. M. Chandrasekaran.

Congrats and Happy birthday to UKS. May god give him long life and more recognition in the years to come.

Could someone enlighten on the role/duties/responsibilities/perks,if any/privileges that the Sangita Nataka Akademi bestow on the awardees?
Or is it simply a decoration?
Honestly, I am not sure of the details and dont prefer to go to the google.
