The phrases were more of Ahir bhairav than chakravAham which set the mood for a fine evening ahead.

The essays of bhairavi,kAnadA,lathAngi and the main hamsAnandhi were all excellent.Esp.latAngi played P varjyam for most part again gave a HM feel liberally.Dr.JK is one of those rare vainikas whose plucking has the kArvai (sustenance of notes) and there was no apasvarams at all.It was a perfect concert. Normally I shy away from veena concerts except for a very few artists whose plucking will be devoid of apasvaram.

The rAga changes in the pallavi was seamless and the tempo was maintained throughout making one long for more.

RR and Dr.K provided excellent support and played a viru viru tani.

The evening couldn’t have been spent better. Great !

Ganeshkant, Smt. Jayanti is a fantastic vaiNika - combining the styles of her aunt, and Sri SB. Just a suggestion - IIRC, she spells her name with an 'a', and not an 'e'.
