Highlight of the concert apart from the lovely Shankarabharam (by both BMK and the violinist) was the bharathiyar song Engal Kannamma.. Very touching sangathis on all the 5 raagas.

4. Maayamma Yani - Aahiri - Adhi (2) - Syama sastri.
5. Saaketha Nikethana - Kannada - Rupakam - Thyagaraja - with swarams.
6. Pakkala Nilabati - karaharapriya - Misra chapu - Thyagaraja - with ragam, swarams and thani avarthanam.
7.Kalyana Gopalam - Sindu Bhairavi - Kanda Chapu - Naarayana Theerthar.
Both concerts hit it off very well right from the start and again felt a wonderful rapport betn BMK and his accompanists, especially at India fine arts. One thing that really makes him stand out is the solid paadantharam plus the absence of gimmicks plus his azhutham on every single sangathi from start to end of the concert! Full fledged traditionalism!

Thanks. I have been wondering about this artist without getting to see him: you few, but well-chosen, words have moved his name several notches up my must-see list.
