After a long tome I listened to the ata tAla varnam and okka mata.As usual it was a great concert.RK playing along and replying in his inimitable style with the veteran who still has the attitude to sing with all fervour at this age by relentless going to the upper octave P.The ragams were sung brilliantly as also the replies of RK.Yesterday I realized how the chira veena almost becomes the human voice. Great performance by the titans !
The percussion support by the duo and tani was excellent.
The evening couldn’t have been spent better. Great !

Thanks Ganeshkant for the review which was short and sweet. I missed it. I chose to go for Dhananyjayans which also was really great. Hope to hear RKS in some other venue.

Thanks all. Nice to see that ganeshkant and I picked up on the same things...that's as close to objective as we can get on what's essentially subjective.

I read your review in the paper today. Nice work, Uday, and yes, I do hope you continue contributing to an otherwise insipid daily! Looking forward to listening to RKS tomorrow at MA.

Not so fast Nick. I'm a reluctant entrant to this activity...rather be working with my hands than writing long winded prose on CM
. So perhaps a little bit of "journalism" during the season (don't like that word, along with "rendition", "mathematics", etc..
) and that's it.
