Concert of Sathya for Sri Panjamuka Anjaneya Music Festival

This is a link for set of video clipping of the concert performed by Sathya on keyboard, Sri. M. Rajeev on Violin, Sri. R. Sankaranarayanan on Mrudhangam and Sri. Sunil Kumar on Kanjeera. Sri Deepan of Karthick Audio was on PA system. The concert was perfromed on December 29, 2011.

The team performed Varanamukava - Hamsadwani, Kanakanaruchira - Varali, TelisiRamachandra - Poornachandrika, Melukovaiyamam - Bouli, Dvaithamu Sukama - Reethigaula, Srinivasa Thiruvengatamudayan - Hamsanandhi and attempted Hanuman Chalisa in Ragamalika.

A few more observations:

Selection of kriti-s is good.

Special marks for the Varaali pancharatnam because it's somewhat tough even to learn and sing it. Internalising and bringing to the 'finger tips' with sahitya adherence is really admirable. And that too Varaali which is full of 'nuance gamakas' in the key board!

Telisi Ramachandra (POORNACHANDRIKA -not poornashadja) has been rendered without 'admixture' of Janaranjani. Creditable indeed.

Raga rendering in full should have been carried in the recording.

Hanuman Chalisa is a bonus for those rasikas who also know the text.

Congrats to Sathyanaraya!

@Sivaramakrishnan - thanks so much for the detailed message and the appreciation showered in plenty. It is my mistake of mentioning it as Poorna shadjam and will edit it now. With regard to the Jugalbandhi concert with Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, it is at Sivagami Pethachi Auditorium tmrw 31st December'11 from 7pm. I have posted the details in a sperate post as well.
