Which song would it be?

I am a new forum member, and after a long hiatus, I have started reviving my interest in CM. I am spending a good amount of time listening, and I am overwhelmed by the ocean of compositions out there. That is why I wanted to start this thread.

"If there was just one CM song that you had to listen to for the rest of your life, what would it be?"

It would be wonderful if you also mentioned why you love this song, and which Vidwan/Vidsuhi has rendered it best.

My pick? Anandhaamrithakarshini, MD
Why? The beauty of Amrithavarshini, the sanskrit is so simple, even a lay person like me can understand, and the loving description of Janani as Aanandhaamritha karshini. MLV's rendition is my favorite so far.

For me it is Rangapuravihara in Raga Brundavana Saranga By MS. Reason the lyrical beauty and the Bhava in which MS has sung the song. The molody nof the Raga and the voice of MS, definitely I would like to listen to again and again.

Everytime somebody starts the varnam - Viriboni - Live /recorded , Senior/Junior , vocal /instrumental .. Previously heard version/ otherwise .

It ALWAYS gives me the goosebumps . Such a magnificent sweep in emotions and juicy movements . May God Bless That Composer in Heaven .
I select this because I am asked to select only one . There is nothing like CM anywhere in the world and beyond .

My vote is for Manasuloni in Hindolam by MLV. The reason is the raga, Hindolam, per se is very melodious and MLV has sung so wonderfully that anybody, after hearing this would voucher for nothing else. KRVRamani
