Today I listened to him in AIR accompanied by Sanjeev and N.RamAkrishnan.

Why I want to welcome him back is because he has started singing in his natural style and the deliberate aping of GNB is almost invisible.His rAgA essays of kamAs and PK and the niraval for both these song were pretty good.It is also good to see that he is able to pack so much stuff in a 1hr.concert in a very convincing way.
The accompaniment by sanjeev and NR was very supportive and the 2 min.tani was full of 'viruviruppu'.I look forward to hear live concerts of SreerAm GangAdhran.

I heard the first half of today's concert. It was good. The varnam itself was a bright start. Khamas alapana, swaras were all good and Mukhari piece too. I did not hear after that.
In fact, he is a good singer. I heard him long back in Bangalore, once in the afternoon concert in MA,and a couple of years back in Mudhra. I feel he is eclipsed by the current lot of yousters who are much flamboyant besides being good singers in their own right. He came to the field some 15 years back when there was not this much opportunities for young musicians.His over indulging in brighas to ape GNB style also was not appreciated by many at some point of time. If he stabilises, he can give good music. Hope that will happen soon.
