Maharajapuram Viswantha Iyer Trust will be presenting the ‘MAHARAJAPURAM VISWANTHA IYER MEMORIAL AWARD’ to MridangaVidwan Mannargudi Easwaran at 6.30 P.M. on 28th January, 2012 at Srinivasa Sastry Hall, Mylapore, Chennai 4.This Award comprises Rs.20000/- as Cash Award, Gold Medal.

Also Senior Musicians Tirupoonthuruthy Venkatesan, Padmavathy Ananthgopalan, Srimathi Brahmanandam are to be honoured with ‘Senior Musicians’Award’

The Youth Awards for excellence go to Sandeep Narayan, Avaneeswaram S.R.Vinu and B. Sivaraman.
