It was a nice concert. I have to leave after the thani.
I didn't particularly like her karaharapriya alapana, but the thanam and kalpana swaras were very good.
She played and sang Dikshitar krithi nicely like a Slokam.
Thani was good.

Delighted to see a report on the concert here! Thank you, ranjanimalavi! Wanted to attend at least a part of it myself, but in the end I decided it's neigh impossible on a working day, with a working day to follow...

A virutham?! That's interesting! Did she sing and play at the same time?

She wanted to render a MD krithi before Bhavani, so she decided to sing and render the MD krithi (AnandAmRtAkarSiNi amRta varSiNi harAdi pUjitE shivE bhavAni) in the 3 ragas.
She called it a virutham, its more like a Slokam.

She also sang Endaro while playing, that didn't come out well. She did play it nicely.

Missed this. I have heard a couple of times in the bay area with her husband accompanying her! I like her music. Great lineage too!
