Ashwini Bhide's Yaman and Basant. She wanted to sing a Bhajan and someone from the crowd shouted Abhang and she obliged.
A blitzkrieg RTP in kapi by shashank who was upset wih the time management skills of IIM
A visibly and verbally angry kala ramnath played ahir bhairav and bhairavi.

That is the hazard for being from Maharashtra.

Tamilians transplanted to Bombay are singing abhangs; Tamilians who have not stepped out of Chennai are singing abhangs. Naturally, the crowd expects a Marathi woman to sing an abhang.

Thalaivarda,
Thanks for reporting. Did you manage to hear TNS?

Harimau,
I had closed the windows, just in case the abhang sounds reached the surrounding suburbs.
Kidding folks, kidding ;)

TNS sang

Endharo Mahanubhavulu Neraval at "Rama bhaktudaina Thyagaraju"
A detailed Hamsanandi followed by "Pahi Jagathjanani".
Virutham followed by Kaliyuga Varadhan
Samayamidhe - Budhamanohari
Sakshat Madanakoti - Ahiri
Devi brova samayamidhe
Manavyalakim with nice swarams and thani.
Niroshta thillana upon request.

The accompaniment was from average and touching towards bad sometimes.

Pray tell more - what went wrong with the time management? And what was Ms Ramnath visibly and verbally angry about - time management again? Was there a decent sized crowd all night long?

Mumbai's all night events seem to have ended a few years ago after loudspeaker regulations went into force I think.

Initially the crowd was good (say 200), but i could hardly see any youngsters among the crowd considering where the event was. It started dropping after TNS finished. the breaks were extended. and sound check took time for every artist. it was a 2 hour session for every artist. TNS was there for around 2 and half. shashank was ready to start at around 3:15 (scheduled 2am) when they wanted to show some spic macay video. kala started at 4:45 (scheduled 4) and finished at 6am. she was unhappy with the sound for 20 mins and a few heated exchanges between the sound guys and kala.
the temperature was very low and there were hardly 30 people when it finished. Unnecessary lenghty intros for artist all rip offs from wiki. The music was good, so no complains.
