The Golden Jubilee functions will start from the 26th January 2012.

The year long celebrations will be inaugurated on 26th Jan 2012 by respected Home Minister Shri.P.Chidambaram.

The festival unfolds with INDRADHANUSH MAHOTSAV 2012.

The events to be held are

26th January 6.30 pm. Kuchipudi Dance recital Maha Natanam by Padma Bhushan Shri Raja Reddy ,Smt Radha Reddy,Smt.Kaushalya Reddy
&their disciples.

27th January 7.30 pm. Sarod recital by Shri.Amaan Ali Khan & Shri Ayaan Ali Khan.

28th January 7.15 pm. Parampara - Dance recital in Bharat Natyam & Odissi style by Smt Hema Malini ,Kum.Esha Deol &Kum Ahaana Deol.

28th January 6.30 pm. Sapthaakshara by Padmashree Shri.Vikku VInayakaram & his team of percussion & vocal artistes.

3rd February 7.30 pm. Vivekananda -one act play by Shri Shekar Sen.

4th February 7.15 pm. Hindustani Vocal recital by Padma Vibhushan Shri Pandit Jasraj.

5th February 6.30 pm. Live in concert - Shri.Abhijeet .

17th February 7.15 pm. Carnatic Vocal recital by Dr. Smt.Nithyashree Mahadevan & party.

18th February 6.30 pm. Carnatic Vocal recital by Shri Sanjay Subrahmanyan & party.

19th February 6.05 pm. Carnatic Vocal recital by Smt.Bombay Jayashri Ramnath & Party.

The book VOICE OF THE VEENA :S.BALACHANDER A BIOGRAPHY by Sri Vikram Sampath will be launched before the concert on 19th Feb at 5.30 pm.

Junior Level 5 to 15 years
Senior level 15 to 30 years.

Jaya TV Carnatic Idol Mumbai audition hosted by The Fine Arts Society took off grandly.
It was overwhelming to see children from even 7 years taking part in traditional dresses.
10 children in the junior category and 5 in senior caegory were selected for next round of audition in Chennai on 5th Feb.
Fine Arts Society is happy to be part of the show organised by Jaya TV/Maximum Media.
We thank Ms.Shubashree,Mr Manimaran,Mr ShashiKiran,Mrs Gayatri Venkatraghavan and the technical members Shri Sivakumar and Shri Damodaran who made it possible in The Fine Arts Society.

The Golden Jubilee celebrations started of with Union Home Minister Mr.P.Chidamabaram inaugurating the year long festivities.
He commended the tamilians of Chembur and Mumbai for working together and promoting arts like music and dancefor over 50 years.
The festivities started on 26th Jan 2012 with Raja Reddy & Radha Reddy's fine Kuchipudi dance recital.Shri Amaan Ali Khan and Shri Ayaan Ali Khan creating magic with sarod on the 27th.It was followed by Smt.Hema Malini and her daughters Esha and Ahaana presenting Parampara ballet in Bharat natyam and Odissi style.Sunday 27th evening saw a thunderous performance by Padmashri Vikku Vinayakaram and his Sapthaakshara team to an eager audience.The celebrations takes a short break .It restarts on 3rd February with an one act play Vivekananda by Shekar sen followed on 4th February by Padma Vibhushan Pandit Jasraj's Hindustani vocal concert.It concludes on 5th Feb with Live in Concert by Abhijeet before restarting of 17th Feb with Carnataka Sangeetha Vizhaa 2012 for 3 days with Dr.Nithyashree Mahadevan,Shri.Sanjay Subrahmanian,Smt. Bombay Jayashree performing.

The Goden Jubilee celebrations - Indradhanush 2012 restarts tomorrow after a 4 day break.We have Shekar Sen's one act play "Vivekananda" on 3rd Feb followed by Sangeet Martand Padma Vibhushan Pandit Jasraj ji in a rare concert on 4th Feb, before finishing off on 5th with a 'Live in concert -Abhijeet".
The festivities will take a break again to restart with vocal concerts on 17th Feb as Indradhanush -CARNATAKA SANGEETHA VIZHA 2012 " with Dr.Nithyashree Mahadevan performing on 17th Feb,Shri.Sanjay Subrahmanyan on 18th and Smt Bombay Jayashree Ramnath performing on 19th.
On 19th we also have the Mumbai book launch of Shri Vikram Sampath authored 'VOICE OF VEENA - S BALACHANDER " at 5.15 pm.

Fine Arts Society's Golden Jubilee celebrations continued from 3rd Feb after a 4 days gap.Shekar Sen took the audience through the life and times of Vivekananda in his one act play "Vivekananda'.Padma Vibhushan Pandit Jasraj created magic with his classical hindustani vocal rendition.He proved why he is called sangeet martaand in a classical concert.The last day was for young crowds swaying to the music of Abhijeet for over 4 hours.
The festival starts again of 17th February with Carnataka Sangeetha Vizhaa with a concert by Dr Nithyashree Mahadevan .18th by Shree Sanjay Subrahmanyam and 19th by Smt.Bombay Jayashree.The concert on 19th will be preceded by the book launch of "Voices of Veena -S.Balachander" by Shri VIkram Sampath.

The countdown for the CARNATAKA SANGEETHA VIZHAA 2012 has begun.Just 2 more days and on 17th we will continue our Golden Jubilee celebrations with a grand recital by Smt. Nithyashree Mahadevan ,followed by Sri.Sanjay Subrahmanyan on 18th and Bombay Jayashree Ramnath on 19th.
The response for the festival has been so overwhelming ,that we may have to plan for 2 concerts by the same artiste on 2 successive days in future !
We thank the music lovers of Mumbai.

We will be having THYAGARAJA ARADHANA on Sunday 19th morning with Unjivratti and the group singing of Pancharatna Kritis at 10 am.

The CARNATAKA SANGEETHA VIZHAA started with Dr.Smt. Nithyashree Mahadevan singing marvellously to a full house rasikas.Among other ragas she sang Atana,Poorvi kalyani and a special pallavi for the Golden Jubilee celebraions in the RTP in Hindolam.
