Talaivarda,
I think both the varNam and tillAna are by her guru, LJR.
Though dArini telusukoNTi is sung fast, I somehow can't see it as a filler.
It was a very pleasing concert. The accompanists were extremely good. Patri is one of my favorites, anyway, though the mike was set to 'loud' at times.

This would have been interesting since nayaki and darbar are closely allied ragas. Intersting to know how this was handled.Thalaivarda wrote: RTP - Nayaki & Darbar - Thani

The RTP wasn't in Nayaki and Darbar!
It was in Behag and Bageshri! With ragamalika in Malayamarutham, Ranjani and Revathi.
I felt it was a lovely concert as always.
P.S. Didn't know you were there too Arasi ma'am! Would have liked to meet you!

Patri is one of my favourites too! I just love the anticipation with which he plays. It's perfect. And I was sitting in the balcony, and for me, the whole concert's volume was low!Patri is one of my favorites, anyway, though the mike was set to 'loud' at times.

Wish we had met as well!
The nAyaki, DarbAr puzzled me too, and then I remembered that the gentleman who spoke a few words (exactly a few words!) and said Bombay Jayashri was a nAyaki in the music Durbar??
The dvirAga pallavi was indeed sung in BehAg and BhAgESri with a lovely pallavi line which I tried to write down, but my pen didn't cooperate.

Thanks Squims for the clarification! A nayaki-durbar pallavi would be as challenging for the audience (to listen to) as it would be for the musicians!

Ah, this happens all the time. Hehe.how well jayashree handled nayaki and darbar
The pallavi line, as far as I could make out:
SrI bhArgavi bhagamAlini Sriranga dhAmeshwari, mahASakti mahAlakSmi dEvi
It was set to chatushra jathi jhampa, mishra gati. Very well handled by all the musicians. Loved the tani, especially Sri Patri Satishkumar's amazing kuraippus and korvais.

Yup, I remembered reading that concert report. The moment she started Kharaharapriya, I was hoping she would sing 'chakkani raja' since she'd sung 'rama nee samana' three days ago and she'd also sung 'pakkala nilabatti' a while back in Bangalore. But it wasn't to be. Enjoyed the neraval at 'paluku paluku' a lot nevertheless.

I don't see anything wrong in repeating a few songs in a concert three days later in a venue 1000 miles away, since one doesn't expect the same rasikas at both the places. It is far better than TVS repeating the same concert many times over !

And then it could be Bombay Jayashri's sense of humour coming through in response to all the ribbing she got for the Singapore concert.
