Bharatiya Saama Gana Sabha had organised Raga Sambhrama where each had to elaborate a given raaga.
On 4th Feb from 7 - 8 pm Malladi Brothers presented Kharaharapriya while From 8-9pm Priya Sis presented Kalyani.

A stage beautifully set , great ambience and detailed showcase of Kharaharapriya. Both the brothers in turns presented Kharaharapriya. It was great to listen where the raaga was explored in great detail by both for about 25min. The range of Ravikumar's alaap from the lower Ma to the higher notes MA,PA was amazing. The audience completely enjoyed it.

Then they proceed with the kriti Raama Neeyada. It was beautifully sung in detail with brisk swaras followed by a short tani.

Priya Sisters concert started only at 8.45pm. To break the monotony of the audience again listening to alaap they started with Kamalaambaa Bhajare - One of the Navavarna Kriti's of Dikshitir in Kalyani. If Malladi Bros concert was energetic which left the audience asking for more Priya Sisters concert was all Divine .
Then they proceed with an RTP in Kalyani.
A beautiful elaboration of the raaga by Haripriya with some intresting brikas and detailed taana by the sisters.
Before starting the Pallavi Haripriya explained that the pallavi had the raaga mudra and had been composed by their guru Sri. T.R Subramanyam. Since it was a single raaga concert there would not be any raagamalika swaras , but said they would explore the scope of the raaga by grahabedha..

Both the sisters shared in elaborating the pallavi beautifully with some crakling swaras in Kalyani before proceeding to grahabheda..
It was Audava audava[having 5 swaras in both arohana and avarohana] grahabheda . Both the sisters took turns and presented it beautifully . Rishabha to rishabha [Ri , Ga, Ma, Da, Ni], [ Ga, Pa, Da, Sa, Ri], [Ga, Pa,Da,Ni,Ri] were some of them which i just jotted down as quickly as possible.. RTP was concluded with a short Tani.
