To produce a raga line with a drum must be a difficult task.
This is a good effort:

Re: melody on drum
This is a drum that is designed to play melody ... but I don't know that it was conceived to play actual songs like this!
Have a cd of Edduka (how many Ds, how many Ks?) solo somewhere in the collection: must see if it is the same man.

One d, two k's. You got it exactly wrong.Have a cd of Edduka (how many Ds, how many Ks?)
Now, a trick: consonants after the first in Tamil (and most Malayalam) words are usually of the d/g/b kind -- except when they occur in pairs: kk, tt, pp.

Edukka
I should have googled :$
Fascinating instrument. I even have one in my collection, although I certainly can't play it.

Re: melody on drum
The spelling of my own place name did occur to me, with its two Ks.
Even in English, it is a big problem to know some double consonants, and some stuff like ee and ea, but we make it worse by pronouncing these things the same!
