Vaanathin meedu – Maand.
Cheliyene - Pharas – Thyagaraja

A cracker of a concert from Gurucharan perfectly sticking to paddhati and brilliant time management.

Gurucharan started the concert by announcing that he was going to sing the varnam in 3 speeds and created magic from word go , supported by Sanjeev on violin .Vaarana mukha in Hamsadwani set the path to a wonderful concert.Veenabheri and Nee padamule were
brilliantly sung .The Shuba pantuvarali Sree Satyanarayanam was divine. After ages I was hearing a alaapanai of shuba pantuvarali and it was magnificient.

He started Bilahari alaap and the audience were debating which song he will sing and he started Dorakuna .A mami behind me said in some film it was sung in kalyani and not Bilahari.I am just wondering which film. The song had nice alaap ,swaram and return by Sanjeev.

Sivakama Sundari was sung so movingly sung .The highlight of the concert was the RTP in nasikabhushani sung beautifully .The swarams were short with just fleetingly going through different ragas.
Vanathin meedu ,kulam tarum and Cheliyene were refreshing.

Sanjeev on violin was like a wonderful follower producing what ever the singer was singing.

Thani by Neveli Venkatesh and Bombay Venkatesh was done in clinical precision.Pleasing strokes with a nice understanding was a treat to watch.Only grouse was it was very short.

In all a wonderful 3 hours perfectly planned concert of Gurucharan ,the crowd was enjoying each song.

Next time you meet the mAmi tell her that the movie was shankarabharanam . More importantly tell her that the filmy dorakuna iTuvanti seva composer is Veturi Sundararama Murthy and the bilahari composer is Sadguru ThyagarAja and most importantly only the pallavi line has the same words dorakunA iTuvanTi sEva
The blockbuster shankarabharanam gave SPB, vanijayaram and kv mahadevan the best male, female and music director national awards respectively.

This must be Thanjai Chinniah's composition - Cheli Nenetlu which is a Javali.
