The nearest landmark I can think of is Chennai Kaliappa Hospital, if that helps.... It is located at the end of the road on 5th main road, if that helps.

Mridanga vidhvAn pApanAsam kumAr has been conducting this type of akhandam for the past several years during sivarAthri;at least I have been listening since 2003.Earlier he used to conduct in an AnjanEyar temple in Ashok nagar then @ BVB mini hall.Hope he must be conducting this year also.

Kudos to pApanAsam kumar for organising this programme every year. Last year, this programme was held in mini hAll. This time, in main hAll, Good to
see a decent crowd, which I did not see even in MA last December season.

I entered Bharathiya vidya Bhavan at 00.30 AM and Akkarai Sisters started kapAli- mohanam kriti of pApanAsam sivan. Dr.Ganesh was not there.
it was pleasing 30 minutes of gAna mazhai, where behind BVB, the real kapAli was in "milk/honey mazhai". The four-kAla abhishekam and a full crowd and people sleeping in the prAkAram and half-sleep police, prasAdams being distributed at the other end. If you like it, you love it.

After kapAli a soothing tani by "ever smiling"-nellai balAji and madippAkkam murali, followed by AS' vishvEswara-Sindu bhairavi of ST as last kriti.. pApanAsam kumAR explained that "involvement" of AS' as they came here after giving a performance somewhere. I had to leave as I have office the
next day (today),

Just listened to Sathya's recording, wonderful and pleasing concert on the whole. Apt selection of songs for the occasion and good execution by Sathya and his team.
