Harimau, a Tamil poem in kaTTaLai kalittuRai metre has been composed by msm on this topic and has been slightly modified to specifically mention you (a bit of my contribution) here in the venpA thread:

Those who can read Tamil can check out posts (poems) 225, 226, 228 and 229 in that thread which are inspired by the discussion Harimau has started here.

Re: Dinner at a South Indian wedding reception
When this thread was first posted , I opened it and seeing the length of the opening write up, moved on to other smaller threads!
But I came back after seeing 3 pages being written- something interesting has to be there, after all. Harimau is extremely skilled in interesting writing, albeit naturally controversial. I enjoyed it.
Coming to the expected eating habits of SIBs compared to "others", I am sure that all the mothers and grandmothers would immediately ratify our hurried and shabby eating method now. Are we not, all of us, Vandikkaarans now spending most of our time driving vandis like a car or bike. Gone are the days when we could sit 'aaraamsey" in a vandi allowing us to be driven around by the kaarans.
