Re: baso si vare nayanan siya ram
Thank you the audio link. The lyrics above are correct.
A few differences in his rendition, Krishnaa can confirm, with the translation:
--starts with "basOji mArE" and loops...(only once he says "vArE")
nainan mE sIyArAm basOji mArE
janak nandini jagad vandinI raghunAyak ghanashyAm
kanak maNDap talE ratna simhAsan jugal mUrti abhirAm
sarayU kE tIr ayOdhyA nagarI citrakUT nij dhAm
tulsIdAs prabhu kI chavi nirakhat lajat kOTi shatkAm

Thanks smala for locating the piece. I did not realize that I had contributed the lyrics of this song to Karnatik.com. Somehow I missed noting it down in my own database.

Re: baso si vare nayanan siya ram
The meaning is as follows :
Oh Lord Rama ! Please let me behold you always by being in front of me,
you are the spouse of the daughter of King Janaka , who is also worshipped by the whole world,
Oh ! you are the couple seated on the jewel studded throne in the golden mantapa,
which is located in the the city of Ayodhya situated on the banks of the Sarayu river and Oh dweller of Chitrakuta !,
I Tulsidas, the servant of the Lord, offer my countless ( shatakoti ) namaskarams to you as always.

To help future searches, can the moderators change the title here to - nayanan mein siyarAm (basOji mArE) ?

Re: baso si vare nayanan siya ram
Thanks for sharing this link. As a child, I also learnt the song in the same raag, Lalith, from my uncle, late Sri M.O.Srinivasan, founder of Dasanjali in Madras. It is still one of my favourite songs, and I sang it recently at the local temple. Here is its link: https://youtu.be/-M--1xd6dH0
