This is a masterpiece by Ramaswami Sivan in Khanda Chapu, with its elegance and quality equalling Tyagaraja's kritis. The audio of Voleti Venkateshwarlu is available somewhere in Sangeetamshare.org. I have it but am not able to upload it here.

One piece of information please on the side.

The mudra " Guhadasa " is used in the lyrics. The lyrics are composed by Ramaswami Sivan ( Vaakkaara: ) who had studied Samskritam & Telugu while the music was set by Maha Vaidyanatha Iyer ( Sivan )( Geyakaara: )who was a very prolific singer with the ability to sing in six speeds and could put two different talas with the hands simultaneously for the same composition. So the brothers together constitute the vaggeyakara team.

Why "(Sivan)" again for the Singer Bro ?

Is it GAya-kaara ?

Just curious - were they own Bros ? Or Cousins ?
Why ? Because "Iyer" does not appear in the 1st Bro's name ??

Yes, they were own brothers. Although,Ramaswamy was elder to Vaidyanatha he was usually on the Sruiti playing tambura for his younger brother. In the younger days i beleive they sang together. Later realising Vaidyanatha had a better voice, elder took the above role in concerts.

The famous Janaranjani "Pahimam Sri Raja Rajeshwari" is also attributed to Ramaswamy Sivan
