Anuradha - I do not think it is a tillAnA - it is a kRti.

Anuradha & rshankar,

It is indeed a kriti by Gopalakrishna Bharati, sung in different ragas, Sindhu Bhairavi and Desika Todi being the most often used among them. The pallavi is used for extended period with elaborate jatis added during dance recitals which may have given the impression that this is a tillana.

Anuradha,

The lakshanas required for tillana are totally absent as is obvious from the lyrics given in the link in post #2. The corrected lyrics are :

P: taattai enraaDuvaar avar taadittai enraaDuvaar ( avar )
AP : aadi paraaparam aaghiya cittu aanandam koNDoru kAlai eDuttu
C1 : aNDa charaacharam engum naDunga aadi seDanaar ( or seshanaar also ) muDigaL nerunga
C2 : shiilam perugiya munivar koNDaaDa , tingaLai shuuDiya shenjaDai aaDa
C3 : paar pugazhum tillai chidambara naathan, baalakrSNan paNindEttiya paadan

I have heard this being sung in Mayamalavagowla also in dance recitals. The jatis are used at the end of pallavi to modify it as sung as : taattai,,, taadittai taattai,,, taadittai taattai enraaDuvaar ......etc., aparat from other jati korvais being added. You can try this very easily.

Thank you very much for the clarifications. Can you suggest a link where I can hear all the Charanams sung?
