1.She opened the concert with a meditative sloka ,followed by Nattai kriti “sarasijanabha mam pahi”

2.Valaji number “jalandharam” was a surprise item which she did very well including swaras.

3.Simendramadhyamam was sub main with a decent alapana.She struggled a lot in lower mandra sthayi sancharas.but traverse easily to tara sthayi.she need to focus on mandra sthayi sancharas as she swallows swaras as well as sahithyas when she traverse in manthra sthayi

This was not only noticed in this SM alapana but noticed in few other songs also. This was the first Simhendramadhyama of the season..

The keertana “nine nammitenaya” was rendered well including the niraval. She is at her best when she sing in madhyama sthayi.

The filler “Akhilandeswari” was rendered with full of devotion,but bit flat.She should have taken bit challenge in trying few brihas and sancharas.

The other filler “Bilahari” was not that much good because she didn’t do justice to the brisk chittaswaras.

Two consecutive fillers is too much in modern day concerts.

The main”karaharapriya” alapana,keertana,niraval and swaras are rendered well.

GV should have tried RTP,but she went for long list of tukkadas.Even though we should appreciate her for not taking tukkadas to light classical side or bajan/abhang area,she couldn’t do justice to any one fully.

Bogendra sayinam(kuntalavarali) was starter.

nInyAko ninna hangyAko - Ragamalika devarnama of pdasa(Nadanamakriya,Behag,Kapi and sindhubhairavi) was better.

Short sloka on Rama followed by” bhavayami gopalam” in” yamunakalyani” was number 3 tukkada.This was also rendered smoothly but we expect more fire works from her.

Brindavana saranga (kaliyuga varadhan),Narsi metha bajan,

another ragamalika on Hanuman in Tamil (Bagesri,Sindubhairavi and Revathi,)

”Sarade” of HH Sankaracharya of Sringeri in”Hamirkalyani” followed one after other and just passed.

GV has a very deep, melodious voice if u close u r eyes and listen her we can feel like travelling at a comfortable speed of 60 km in a straight highway with out any ups and down.But we need some twist and turn and few places bit higher speed also.even though I don’t like roller coaster ride ,but I would like to have some adventure.

GV need to take few risk and as she has a sound vidhwat and knowledge she can come out successfully if she try few variations like modulation of voice, better rendering on lower sthayis etc.

She also need to plan her concert with proper mix of filler,,tukkadas etc.Instead of rushing so many tukkadas she can sing few tukkadas in a satisfying way.

She sang chakkani rAja mArga in Kharaharapriya. I really loved this concert. But the tukkuda section was a bit too much.
