With regret, I inform that, my father, Prof R A Phani Shayi, retired prinicipal, The National College, Bangalore and eldest son of Rallapalli Anantha Krishna Sharma, who was himself a scholar in carnatic music, vocalist & violinist, died of cardiac arrest on 27th May, 2012, Sunday, afternoon. He was 85 years.
