Kanchipuram being a kshetra and a Padal Petra Sthalam offers a wide range of compositions by numerous composers and as one can see, the song list for the day was a rich combination of songs covering the Trinity. Ranjani Niranjani was executed in excellent speed also simultaneously highlighting the nuances of the sangatis in the song .Kalpana Swarams at the Chittaranjani Kriti were sung at the Pallavi. Neraval and Swarams in the main song for the evening – Bhairavi were sung in the Charanam line – Mangala Kara Manda Hasa, and Sri. J. Balaji and Sri. Murali followed it up with an energetic Thani . Sri. Venkatasubramaniam supported sensitively by playing in the lower octave and enhancing the beauty of the renditions. It was an evening of marvelous music, in a divine setting.

*"Kalpana Swarams at the Chittaranjani Kriti were sung at the Pallavi."Very few have handled swaram in this (NSG).( as I know)
*She can land in any Kshetra &sing on that shrine I am sure atleast 2/3 nos out of her "stable"-going by the intense research on this domain .
* Mangalakara mandahasa vadanam with due respect to Dr.V.S I am reminded of SKN DKJ.particularly the sangathi in"mandahasa vadanam"

There is a classic recording of Sri TV Sankaranarayanan from the 1980's (?) singing NadaThanumanisham with galloping kalpana swaras...It is very rare indeed from younger artistes. I believe several rasikas can identify it... truly must hear.
