Shri. DKJ on a concert with Lalgudi/UKS/ [Available on Sangeethapriya.org} sings a beautiful highly meditative shlokam - 'agnyAta bhakti rasam.... ' in biLahari preceding kAmAkshi varalakshmi kriti. The song has a typical UKS thani vollowing it.
The verse is on Goddess Kamakshi, can anyone post the lyrics and what set of shlokas is this verse from?
Thanks
Arun

Lovely Bilahari...Lalgudi is wonderful...
While I am still deciphering the words, one thing is clear: the shloka appeals to Kamakshi 'to save me, most undeserving..not knowing the mood of Bhakti, not knowing the path of Mukti' etc...
Will give it a try to piece together the words.
Thanks!

GOT IT! Here it is, from a Kanchi sage's composition called Muka Panchashati:
aj~nAtabhaktirasam aprasaradvivekam (one who doesn't know the mood of bhakti, whose discrimination is yet unkindled)
atyantagarvam anadhItasamastashAstram (one who is most arrogant, one yet to read all the scriptures)
aprAptasatyam asamIpagata.n cha mukteH (not having secured the truth, nowhere near the path of liberation)
kAmAkShi naiva tava spR^hyati dR^ShTipAtaH (not yet craving for the gracious benediction of your glance)
My attempt to give meanings may be condoned please!

Sri DKJ Does not sing the second line.
He has changed the second word (I think the one above is correct).
Also he sings 'naiva tava kA~nkShati'...which is equally acceptable,
