Mela raga scheme_Podhigai_Tuesday 9pm

Podhigai telecasts the concept of Mela raga scheme as authored by Venkata mukhi. The program is hosted by top ranking musicians and had R Vedavalli, Neyveli Santhangopalan, Suguna Varadhachari, Seetha Rajan, Vijay Siva in the first episode telecast yesterday. I missed the name of the other artiste. Smt Vedavalli gave a general introduction, while NSG and SR explained some basic aspects of Mela raga scheme.
The telecast is on tuesdays from 9 to 9.30 pm.
It was an interesting telecast and will benefit students of CM. I wish more visuals are used along with the use of Veenai for explaining swara sthanams (12/16 sruthis).

The night one is a repeat. It telecast yesterday morning at 9 am... The other artiste is Smt. Seetha Narayanan. Very informative and beautifully packaged...

This entire series was telecast couple of years ago. Sri TVG had uploaded all the recordings on Sangeethapriya (except Vijay Siva's).
